WOW, and they wonder why car salesman get a bad rep.

$20K markup. I want to go to San Jose to make that salesrep work for it. Only to leave at the last minute.

How many EVO VIII s are coming to the US each year? If only 500 cars/yr, I could understand.

6500 for the first year... but I think it is based on the demand.

Who would pay $50K for a $30K car when they import 6500 of them a year to the US?

I am going to San Jose to check out this madness. I wanna stand next to this car and take a picture.

What's ridiculous is the othe cars you could get for that price. A Z06, or a BMW M3. You could get a Mustang Cobra and about $15K back. Or how about a S2000 with SC or turbo and then some for that price. What are these guys smoking.

At least they included the destination charge with the $20K markup!

Wow that's the same markup that BMW dealers had on the M5s when they first came out. This makes the M5 markups look reasonable.

HAHAHA, I just got a call from my local Mitsu dealer wanting to know if I was interested in getting a black one at 10K over msrp should be here in 3 months . I had inquired previously and put my name down on the list for more information. I told him in 3 months you will be selling it at invoice.

Probably not but it was funny when he didn't say anything in response.

I also visited a Mitsubishi dealership about 9 months ago and expressed interest. I told them I would put down a deposit if they would sell the car to me at MSRP. The sales man told me he would work everything up and call me to do the paperwork. Now I know why he never called back.

What morons.
