DD choices Si sedan or...?

SI is a great car, but itll be hard to forego the IS and TSX. You could get either in mid to high teens with under 60K on the clock if you look hard enough. The TSX is definitely the mildest of the bunch (it is an accord afterall), but you;ll get a perceived good value since being that you're getting an acura for that price. I wasn't a fan of the IS when it was selling for over 30, under 20 and I think I'm in love- rwd, 1jz powerplant (too bad the supra didn't hold on long enough to legalize the 2jz swap into the IS), and I love the in/ex terior styling. The SI will give you the warm fuzzy feeling of a brand new car and is a very capable and fun car in itself. Tough call, if I got a killer deal on a great IS, thatd be my first choice, otherwise an auto TSX then the SI. If we were talking about the coupe SI, it might be a lil different, but then like Tommy said, I'd be cross shopping 05-06 RSXs too.

I'll probably end up looking first at the Si, but also the IS300 (pretty much for reasons listed by DonEffect - slightly more upscale but still a great car - found a few in stick even!). tsx - yeah, a bit mild, but not bad. While I'll check out the Mazdaspeed 3, I've heard mixed in terms of interior quality, but I guess that means I gotta go look myself.
I don't mind buying used (I have yet to buy a new car yet) - it's always nice to have 'new' but usually the cost differential often seems too high for me - but that's a personal choice I know.

The SI and the Speed3
Havent driven them extensively but from a couple hours in each i think the winner by a slight margin is the civic. Even though noticeably slower than the Mazda which pulls hard the Honda just seemed more of the drivers car. The steering was better, the gearbox was light years better. The only thing in the Speeds advantage is raw power and interior.

I know MS3 might be out of the question but how about those 4 door GTI's. 2.0L turbo and it handles good too! I would think it has the aftermarket support too
