I think it's kind of funny that they had to name it 1M since they already had an M1. I wonder if they will release a new M1 soon. That wouldn't confuse the internet chat rooms!

As far as pricing is concerned, i would not be suprised to see this priced close to the m3. Then when the new m3 comes out, they will jack the price of that.
And i agree, the biggest problem with the car it that i will get spanked around pretty much any track by a mustang, who's interior is not nearly as bad as it used t be.

I think BMW should have at least given it the same V8 as the M3, but . I'm positive this car will sell decently, especially since there are plenty of people who buy BMWs just for the badge, not for the performance. That's not a diss to any Bimmer owners here, just an observation.

Someone on s2ki.com once said the 1 series reminded them of a Vietnamese Pot Bellied Pig...and I have forever had that image in my head every time I see one. Can't get past it.
