Plano, a suburb just north of Dallas, not only has the red light cameras, but a completely separate dedicated police force for revenue genera -- er, traffic enforcement. From what I hear, the real cops hate them because it gives them all a bad image. I see tons of traps that clearly have nothing to do with public safety, they're just gotcha tickets in places where it's easy to catch people.
