Only if they gave it one of DC's European badges--Benz or Smart. How could I be trendy driving an American car?

I like the "84 mpg cruising at 55 mph on the highway" comment.
I don't know of a "highway" with a 55mph limit anywhere around here. Shoot - half the main streets are that high (give or take 5 mph)!
Still, that's not bad. Of course, the European/Japanese Accord (TSX here) gets 74 mpg with a production diesel motor yet has a far greater drag coefficient (.30, I think?) and still looks far better.
Still, if Chrysler can make a clean, super-efficient diesel car, I say go for it. Can't have too much of a good thing (in this case).

"A mixture based on animal urine is sprayed into the exhaust system, neutralizing the nitrogen oxides into harmless nitrogen and water."
" . . . C'mon, Fido, good boy, right in the exhaust, yeeeeeeah . . . "

How slow?
If anybody remembers the Suzuki Samurai, it took about 13 seconds to get to sixty. If you kicked that car in the nuts as hard as you could you might be going 50 at the top of a highway on ramp with a semi coming up behind you fast going 70 mph. Spooky.
A car this fugly is still attractive because of the high milage, but I hope it can get out of its own way. It might not be that bad because VW tdi's have a little bit of scoot to them. If it is super slow, as a consumer my preference would be 60 mpg but a little more giddie-up than 70 mpg and no go.
Oh nevermind.......its just a concept anywho.

Well, its just a concept. I think the technology is amazing though.
Drag coefficient of 0.06? I guess it may be due to the fact that it gets its rear from its mother, the Insight.
If a 70 mpg diesel car comes to the States, I hope Honda'll bring over the 75 mpg Accord Diesel!

Holy cow is right.
I wonder what the exhaust smells like.
A mixture based on animal urine is sprayed into the exhaust system, neutralizing the nitrogen oxides into harmless nitrogen and water.
