In Canada, I pay $0.04 more per LITER for premium gas over regular gas at Costco. People that go to a "normal" gas station pay $0.18 more per liter, usually. On a tank of fuel, I'm saving $0.14 per liter, or roughly $4.50 per tank. Plus I get another $0.01 or $0.01 per liter for using my Costco AMEX card at the tank. I fill up every other week, usually, so the whole thing saves me about $100 per year. It's close to where I work so it doesn't cost me anything extra to drive there. In short, it more than pays for my Costco membership each year, just in gas savings. If my wife filled up there, we'd save even more...
how long are the lines tho? How much time do you spend waiting in lines? On average in my area Costco/bjs is a 30 minute wait for a .10/gal savings.

Even if I save $100/ year from going to Costco/bjs, it would take me roughly 25 hours per year to save that much money. Sorry but that much time is worth $100 to me.

Now if your area has no lines, that's a different story.
Because you live in Queens where there is like 1 Costco. I used to live in Bayside. Move out to other parts of the US where Costco's are every 5 miles and the lines are nothing.

Like i said, it depends on the area... and i live in Long Island.

I go when people aren't usually there. Also, I can turn the car off no problem - just let it sit while I wait. Usually, I wait (at most) 10 minutes. I also go on the side of the pumps for people with the tank filler on the right side of the vehicle (less common) and that reduces my wait as well.

I used to fill up on Costco gas all the time, but since my membership expired about 2 years ago and has not been renewed, I don't go there anymore. I used to be a Chevron guy but have switched over to Shell. The premium Shell gas actually feels better in the STi than the Chevron gas. Plus most of the Shell stations around me have that debit card discount, which ranges from $0.05 to $0.10 off per gallon of gas. I have noticed a couple Chevrons that do this too, but none of them are local to me.
I saw a video a LONG time ago (can't find it) that dyno tested all the major premium gasoline with an STI. Shell came out on top...WAY up top, yielding something like 10hp to the wheels MORE than the next competitor.
No way, really? I guess my butt dyno was on point when I switched over!

Due to other posts/admissions on this board, I'ma leave that blank. But I work at their HQ here in Northern California, as a hint. We have plenty of corporate stations. I manage their vsat connection.

Chevron provides Costco gas.
Really? You have a source to back this up?
AFAIK, It's not the same blend. Not the same amount of Techron, etc.

A friend used to own two Shell gas stations. He will never go to Costco saying that Costco usually gets gas from the bottom of the tanker truck. Those tankers go to big name brands first and then finish their rounds to Costco. Reason he said it is bad because the fuel ends up being dirtier than to the other stations. Similar reason why you should not refuel when a tanker is filling up at the station.

I doubt filtration is an issue. I had a conversation with one of the attendants last week as I was pumping 91. He was measuring the gpm flow with a stopwatch. I asked about it and he said they change the pump filters more frequently than average. Makes sense, as a clean filter means a faster pump time, and a faster customer queue.

He also probably said that because when a costco or bjs gas opens up near another gas station they KILL the sales of those stations lol.

That's not true at all. Costco and Bjs have HUGE tanks. They take delivery of a whole tanker. they only carry about 10k gallons.
