on the weekend I saw a very nice C5 with an old guy driving, gave him the nod and went on my way, who says I don't have respect for the elderly

Today at our mini meet we say a couple vettes, middle aged guys with mullets, what is up with that?

young or old- who should drive what? I owned a 2000 C5 for 2 yrs, thought the interior was great and its best feature was all-day, high speed cruises. Its shifter was long-throw and vague, the car was too big, and it fell short on excitement and driver involvement. I recently traded it on a '02 S2000 and am completely thrilled! I couldn't care less who sees me driving; I pick cars that I have respect for and that are fun to drive. I'm not about to be bored driving Buick-like Benz's, Thunderbirds, Caddies, etc. I'm 64.
