I seem to remember reading in Autoweek that Chevy does not plan on building a C7 until about 2016 or so...they feel the C6 is a solid platform and they can wring many mroe years out of it.

Thanks to whoever clarified the longer MY durations of the C3 and C4 vs. the C6 (even the C5 @ 97-04 _currently_ has a couple years on the C6 @ 05-10), and the one-year-only '63 split window, which was also the year that the Z06 option originated.
That being said, we're going to see the special edition GS models simply migrate into the standard lineup, a bump in [coupe/vert] power that will basically excise the Z06 from the lineup. I've seen some internal G2 which shows a business model that takes the C6 platform at least 4 more years of forward production.
