Depends on who you believe and how you option the car out. Porsche has quoted anywhere from 3395 to 3505.

If someone is considering an X50 996TT, then they obviously have plenty of money to blow on a car and probably a bunch of other stuff.
The Z06 has and will continue to be the value leader in the super car class of cars, but there is no doubt that Porsche makes some fine machines in the 996TT, GT2, and GT3. The Boxster and regular 996 don't do much for me at all.

If you don't have more money than the G man, then there is a very good chance that one of the primary considerations of the P car purchase is for the prestige and exclusive factors. Luckily, I don't need the prestige of a P car to feel good about myself.
