i dont know. if ca IIRC the LEO has to see it inorder to take action and not what someone on a phone said. if this was the case. i could go rolling around the highway with my hands free bluetooth calling in ass holes that are driving too slow and say they are drunk driving or something

i gone to court for going 42 in a 40 zone but it was right after the school. the dumb **** figure it was 25 mph zone but he was sitting right under a posted 40 mph sign. oh they the pig comes to court with a paper of that day showing all the speeds he clocked and on the very top it says the street and 40 MPH zone

I am in a similar but different situation, and all I can say is that you can sue for malicious prosecution, and in his case, wrongful imprisonment if you are taken to jail.
It would not surprise me to see the guy get $25k or so from a jury plus legal expenses. Especially given the fact that more than one bystander was telling him he had the wrong guy.

the cop shouldnt of pulled him off the bike like that, cops who act like this gives other good cops a bad rep. not all cops are dicks, I ride also and understand if I was the officer I would of gave him time to get off the bike and question him. because if you really think about if he was speeding or whatever he wouldn't of stop just my 0.2

This is what sucks. Most cops I've dealt with are decent people (I have a few friends who are cops, and a couple of them also ride sport bikes) but you get one or two who exhibit bad judgment and it makes the whole lot look bad.
