Consolidate two cars to a Mustang?

I've decided to just keep the Rav and buy a Mustang in addition.
After driving home in the S a few hours from the track day last weekend, I would like something with some more comfort and features, and power. I've had 3 S2000s in the past 6 years, I love them dearly but I want to try something new!
Thank you all for your suggestions!

I've been thinking of making the same trade, selling off my boring DD (TSX) and my 105k mile AP1 for a new 5.0 convertible. I just have a hard time with the fact I drive the TSX probably 98% of the time. I currently have 1 daughter, in a front-facing seat, who would do just fine in the back of a Mustang in her car seat. We're currently going for 2, and if that happens, I'd probably wait for that one to turn his/her seat around before making a move (3 years out). But while it's silly to have a 2-door your primary kid hauler, it's also silly to say a 2-door won't work as a backup kid hauler assuming you have another, more capable vehicle. My car has to A) drive 500 yards to drop off my kid in the AM (sometimes I do this in the S2000 ) and B) occasionally haul my kid if for some reason my wife has her car, I want to take the kid out, whatever. It's occasional use, so I'm not worried about the 2-door thing. I feel dirty looking at a Mustang, but that engine, the new styling, and best of all, ball chillers!

ISF too small for kids, ditched my IS.
Check out charger SRT or SCAT pack for full size v8 fun. Walks away from a 5.0 stang.
SS is missing "it" and looks like a rental.
V8 family fun is hard to find. Next option up is m5 or S8 for same size.

In your mind nothing is better than 'SRT', you seem to bring it up in every thread.... You constantly chirp at JonBoy about his profoundness for Honda yet you do the same with the SRT rant. Sorry, I think the Charger & Challenger are both typical Chrysler junk that weigh what, 4500 pounds, that's sporty. The Viper is the only worthwhile vehicle American Fiat makes.
The SS looks like a rental ? The Charger is a rental car and in V6 guise looks very much like your SRT. How does that make you feel ?
SRT or SCAT (BTW isn't that the stuff that comes out of a bears ass ?) walks away from a 5.0L Mustang.
5.0 Stang 13.0 sec @ 113 quarter mile
Charger 392 12.6 sec @ 114 quarter mile
Chevy SS 12.9 sec @ 111 quarter mile
Best time, fastest trap speed and the heaviest in the bunch. Under rated motor? You bet.
I've cross shopped the cars in this category. Have you? If he's willing to get into the used market he can buy a CTS-V which is a lot of car, but for new it's really hard to beat the 5.0 Stang or Charger 392 (either scat or srt).
As for your childish ignorance, SCAT is from.... http://www.allpar.com/cars/dodge/scat-pack.html
And I'm waiting out for the GT350 as my next purchase, however my child will be 7 next year and can get in and out of the back seat. The stang offers huge value and performance for the money, but it would be very hard for the OP to do with a child seat.
Just giving him an option he might have over looked.
Side note, Dodge's standard warranty and their extended cover track use of the car. That's pretty impressive if he wanted to also have a few fun days every year. In SCAT config he can buy a lifetime warranty!

Since I'm hardcore, I wouldn't go with none of these selections...
3157 lb 505 HP C6 Z06 and a workhorse for DD duties.
11.5 @127 mph
Guaranteed future collectible. Same with the C5 Z06

I wish the new SS looked better. Really slim pickings for fun V8 sedans with manual. They do look a ton better if you swap over the Holden logo instead of Chevy. Pretty crazy how big of a difference that makes. The Chevy logo completely ruins the look of any car some how.
