Did you use a broker or straight to the company? Grundy needs a new DD but they make exceptions for their good brokers. Hagerty yeah I've heard their stricter. Grundy doesn't insure in NJ? That sucks.

Like Bill, I have Hagerty but with modified car state value on my S2000. It has $30,000 in mods in addition to it's core market value. I'm really happy with my experience with Hagerty.

My initial quote from Hagerty's for my 02 S was around $750. That was with a value of 25k and 2k annual miles driven. I probably have to adjust the numbers. I'm 57 and just moved to S.W. FL. Insurance seems to suck in the sunshine state. I have to find out about the restrictions for your other car. Right now I have an 04, but looking for a truck.

Old Post Rehash! I was quoted about the same amount ($650) for my S2000 with a lower value. I ended up exploring other insurers and found that Grundy now insures in NJ - doesn't help you - but was giving me a rate for both of my 'fun' cars of around $530. You might want to give them a shot and see if they can give you a lower rate.

I use Grundy and my DD is almost 8 years old and it’s not a problem. I deal with them directly and not thru an agent.
They don’t mind if I drive my covered cars to work once in awhile but I have to keep them garaged.
