superjimbo, I have a mazdaspeed protege. It handles as well as my g/fs' dad's s2000 if not slightly better.

Feel free to pm golfpro....it was his s2000 I was trailing through Deals Gap. Then as we switched directions, guess who appeared as a spec in my mirror a few times.......I know my car is not stock, and I know what it can handle. I'm sure this'll turn into a flame war, now but oh well. Serves me right for visiting a honduh forum.
Oh I did drive the s2000, it's fun, sporty, affordable, and SMALL me being only 6'2" 180 I barely fit. I continuously stared JUST under the visor to see. The shifter was more intuitive, but notchy as well. Clutch feel was very similar IMO. I love the s2000 and am trying to talk the g/f into getting one, but I couldn't drive it every day. I like to have USABLE everyday power. I'll end with this "To each his/her own" and leave it at that.

That's a good one.
I hear Neon owners say a Neon handles as good/better than the S2000 don't they?
The MS3 has 63% of its weight over the front wheels and weighs 300 lbs more than the S2000.
Slow down reread the conversation, then chime in with a helpful comment.
thanks

You're kidding, right? A MS Protege handles as well as an S2000, if not better? I haven't raced one but I've test driven one and it's nowhere near as quick, agile, or generally fun to drive as an S2000. Quite a bit underpowered, it still understeers, and the tires aren't quite up to snuff for the suspension. Brakes are fine but the shifter isn't nearly as nice. Definitely not as tossable though it is more predictable.
I agree that it has a nice suspension but it's still not a sports car by any stretch of the imagination. At best, it's a car with sporting intentions.

FWDs that can induce oversteer very well. Although when I'm deep into a corner, let off the accelerator, the ass rises and rotates just enough to tell me I better push the gas harder WEEEEEE!

never compared the ms3 with s2000. That is just ludacris (2 completely different cars).
You are the one who compared the MS3 to the S2000
look up a few posts

Where did the neon comment come from? We were discussing the MS3 Vs civic.
it'll definately outhandle a civic.

I'd be surprized if a MS3 handles much better than a Neon.
I guess you're a big expert on the Si, as you say the 3 can definately out handle a Si, I guess you have a lot of seat time in a Si.
