Chris Stack crying about the TSX in C&D
Editor owned you. It's the most recent issue of C&D and is the very first reader letter. Pretty funny.

Damn right the "EDITor" owned me: right in the middle of that letter was the line "The "features/amenities" doesn't count, since the Jetta (I assume without navigation, you didn't say either way in the article) got the same score as the nav-equipped Accord." They took that line out, and then used it as a response! WTF???
Here is the original letter posted on A-TSX.com and here is a link to that whole thread. On the last page or two, I bitch about C/D's hack job on my letter. I go by HondaGuy347 on that board, from way back in the day before I realized fake user names are teh suck.

Ah, it was funny either way. At least you got your letter printed.

Haha. I got a letter printed in R&T in '98, C/D in '06...next up is Motor Trend and Automobile, then I start writing to Evo, Car, and Top Gear.

Then you can move on to actually writing real articles. Andi (sure you know him) has had two articles published in Texas Driver Magazine. The first one was his Z06, the second one was a Viper Coupe that DaimlerChrysler dropped off at his work for his personal use for 2 days.
A week ago, he went to pick up a Maserati Quattroporte for a week of testing, but due to logistics when he arrived at the dealer (and a major a**hole dealer manager) he ended up walking out without the car.
Lucky bastard.

That was a pretty long letter to the editor....did you expect them to print all of that? Kind of sucks how they pick and chose what to edit out.... guess next time write a shorter letter?
since we have moved topics to being published in magazeines...
I got my reply in auto week 2 different times (for that weekly response section) and one time in some kind of Mt. Biking magazine for telling them how stupid they were on their method of how to swap spokes and hub to a new rim after you pretzel one....
my writing sucks.... i like "......"'s instead of actual punctuation.... and I kan't spel no good.

I saw you got it printed and first one is nice.
By and large I like C&D the best, I have every issue for about 15 years except one I lent out
But you have to take their winners with a grain of salt. For example got-to-have-it factor , features or style points are easy for them to 'make up' points for the car they like best.
One time they had a S2000 vs a 350Z and for 'features and amenities' they gave the S2000 2 points and the 350Z something like 8 points.
However, the S2000 has HIDs, cruise, remote entry, power top (a $2K option on the vette), CD player, power windows one touch down, leather, AC, 'start button' etc.. I'm sure a few more features I'm forgetting.
My point is, yes the Z does have a few more features like air pressure and volt meter and a trip computer. But the S2000 is not without features which I think should have got maybe 5 or 6 if the Z got 8 points.
