Besides the grille, it doesn't look that bad - a cross between a G35, Infinity M, X-type, and something else.

Not necessarily. It really depends on the company. Most of my electronics were made in China and they're excellent. Acer, Asus, Lenovo, etc. are all Chinese companies, but their products are very good. Yes, counterfeits are crappy, but then again, they're cheap, so what do you expect?!!
Where do you think the iPhones that everyone lusts over are made? The Chinese have a lot of mfg. skill, complete w/ ISO 9001-certified factories. They build to order, you name the price target and they hit it.
The problem is that many companies try to squeeze too much cost out when they go to China. It's def. a cheaper environment, but go too far and you sacrifice quality as well.
See what happens when you hire a car designer @ minimum wage?
I don't want to see that car crashed, I want to see it crushed...every single one of them.

I think when China adopts the F1 racing mindset, they will be a hit. By F1 racing, I mean disposable cars. Hell, I'd buy a car for $300 that will only last 5000 miles. After that, just like your propane tank, you bring it back to the dealer, pay another $100, and get a new one.

Give them a few years to figure it out and the joke will be on us.
they have the cheap labor, at the expense of their people
once they figure out how to do this correctly, it will be nuts
