Also with pricing out the vette, i said when you option similarly they cost near the same. the vette optioned the same way as the m3/m4 is around $68k. a base vette with no options isn't really comparable with the m3 in terms of options. the m3 base with leather comes with more standard than the vette. a 1LT doesn't even have heated seats.
As to pricing. You are still off. Please show me what options you are selecting. If you select a 2LT with Z51 package and navigation (795 option) you are still under 63k. And with that you still get more performance options (Magnetic ride control, dry sump system, ect). They are still not comparable.
My crystal red (extra) C7 vert (extra) with 3LT, Z51, HPP exhaust, magnetic selective ride control, and chrome wheels was $83,300 out the door with tax, license, and private shipping $1,600). That's MSRP.

AC problem after 1 week

2nd DTC tranny broken after 400 miles

Rear diff after just 200 miles

I don't know. Could be just "first year gremlins." But it's a tad bit too much for my liking.

Can someone look to see where the first tranny is broken or when the motor explodes please?

I still don't get why we are comparing the two. Should we now compare the Porsche Panamera Turbo S with the Ferrari 458 Italia?
The truth is the two are very different cars. If I wanted a roadster I would definitely go for the Corvette (Actually S2000 lol). If I wanted a four seater performance car, I would go for the BMW M3. If I wanted a practical car, I would go for the M3. If I wanted a European car, M3...If I wanted a quality-made car, M3...If I wanted best bang for the buck, Corvette...

Remember there was a post about a lemon Porsche 911? Are we all convinced that Porsche has gone down the drain? Nope. You are only hearing from this person because he is having trouble with his new car...and you aren't hearing from others because they don't have any problems with theirs...

Why did you think Top Gear compared the S2000 with the BMW Z4 and Porsche Boxster, and not a Mercedes S-Class or Toyota Camry? When you are comparing two cars of very different categories, you aren't making a fair comparison. You can only base the conclusion on price and practicality.

The link posted to the M3/M4 problems seem to be severe. The link posted to the Vette seem to be minor. I am asking if someone has gone thru 91 pages and found more substantial problems.

my point is idc about a couple of people on a forum. You will have lemons in all makes & models. It's inevitable in this industry. Both cars are too new to really get a snapshot of how reliable they will be/are.

Well cars are made so quickly now a days, so I think it's hard to have a quality control on them.

I would choose M4 over stingray all day all year long
the vette is great car for the money but if you can afford it
why wouldnt you go with heritage M german engineering over chevy made by americans. Dont get me wrong. Im an american but we must admit M4 is just simply overall better car than the vette
in fact I ordered my M4. Should be picking up in Welt soon. I once thought about getting stingray but I knew I would regret t
