Just another BMW fanboi wet dream
Whatever - this is great news for ALMS - its the best and most diverse American racing series we have, and manufacturer involvement is great. I heard it was the regular 3 chassis with the M3 body kit though...

It's probably more practical for them to use on the production race car, being all they'd have to do is utilize their purpose built suspension/drivetrain parts to make the car competitive, adjustable, and more efficient to remove/install during or between heats or races..

I'm not a 100% full-blooded Bimmer enthusiast, being that I've never owned one (always wanted one..lol), but I know enough about bmw's to hang around my cousin (avid ///M owner-nut) and my other bmw-owning friends... But, it's to my better knowledge that the E92 M3 and the other 3series 2dr chassis', etc, are all one in the same...??? correct?? I'm using this methodology from past M models... IE; E30/36/46 M3's... the other 3series 2drs (and sedans in some cases), shared the same chassis' as their M-counterparts...? perhaps BMW changed something along the line?? hahaha.. but, maybe not... just drawing a conclusion... but Saki, I believe that regardless, whether or not its not a chassis from an E92 M3, it is still the same chassis as the regular 335i, (or whatever the other 2dr, newer 3series models are)... and that its more than likely that it doesn't use M3 suspension either, probably re-engineered suspension/drivetrain stuff.. but.. anywho... hahahaha

bleh, whatever...

either way, its a badass car... and I'd love to drive one and get paid to! lol

[/rant] just my $.02 hahaha, thought I'd share

That car is WIIIDDEE! there are some Porsche elements to the venting on the rear bumper! Looks great though hope it does well out there!

Anyone notice how low the rear area sits?

That E92 ALMS M3 says ASS KICKER to me.

I have a lot of respect for BMW and I believe, like Porsche, if they decide to get involved in a racing series, they plan to dominate it.

I look forward to seeing how it performs.

ALMS keeps getting better and better.

Performance wise it should be a lot better than the E46 GTR model but it doesn't have the classic lines.

Holy big fender flares! Overall, it looks okay but I find the Porsches much better to look at.
