Default Cheap RWD car..

Hey guys, im looking for a car. Under 8 grand, RWD, Decent on insurance, reliable, and has ability to go fast in a straight line. basically a drag car.. dont know, just have the itch for one i guess. Any ideas?? This is after watching the Evo clubs intro video hahah.. i dont treat my s2k like that though. All input appreciated!!

but a high mileage 240sx and swap a silvia engine in it...turbo and drifting will make it a fun RWD car for sure...

Or a Miata, not sure on insurance with those though...240 would be a better choice though IMO.

Mustang/Camaro would be the best bang for the buck that you could get. Parts for those two are a dime a dozen and easily accessible. Though personally if it were me I would prefer a Mustang with a 5.0 V8. IMO the 5.0 has one of the best sounds of any engine ever produced.

He wants a drag car, so nothing beats a modified 5.0 Mustang, per dollar. 240SX? Yeah right! Good luck competing with a modified 5.0 Mustang in a drag race.

Cant beat a 5.0 stang for dollar/performance when you start messing with them.

Another vote for a 5.0 Mustang. You can find beater LX models (5.0 had same driveline as the GT 5.0) for a song and make it straight-line fast for not much more.

from what i have read, i hope you don't plan on putting more than 400hp to the rear wheels. after that the block splits in half!
