To be honest, all that really shows is gearing. Perhaps the GT3 is agressively geared to accelerate in that 70- 120 mph zone or maybe the C6 had to shift an extra time, maybe the C6 was an automatic. Either way, I'd be willing to bet you could find a 50 mph zone where the C6 would pull on the GT3 as well. The C6 and the 996 GT3 are a good match against each other, acceleration wise.

But that appears to be the 06+ 6spd automatic. That paddle with the + sign on the steering wheel is the shifter.

If you watch the vid closely, the GT3 jumps a bit on the C6. You see the GT3 nailing it before you hear the engine in the C6.
All said, a GT3 is a touch faster than a C6, but not by that much.
