Which car would you buy for $16000 as a second car
Hey gang. I don't want to rack up the miles on my 2002 s2000. I am looking for a second car around $16000 or so. If you were me, which car would you buy or any other suggestions? I appreicate you opinion.

your choices are kinda limiting. Considering the numerours tranny failures on CL-S, and TL-s I would avoid them like a plague. That leaves the RSX and Celica. the celica is BORING. so the only logical choice is the RSX.
Heck you already have a sports car, I would add a sedan for daily driver duties.

thats interesting what you said about the Celica cause I find the RSX boring... not the Celica.
But... I dono... out of those choices, i would probably go with a RSX. The motor is better all around than the Celica's motor. The Celica motor has very little power in the small cam. Plus, there really isn't much you can do to it, the suspension needs some work, the chassis flexes too much.
I had a Celica with R-compounds... the metal around the sunroof (in the corners) was dented because of chassis flex.
Not to mention I had my tranny rebuilt, the head redone, and shift linkage break. Other than that, I had a ton of fun with the car and its also quite fast once you get the hang on it. The only issue... DONT get anything other than the 00-01. 02 and up have the revlimiter at 7800 instead of 8300.

What about an 04/05 tC ?
They are a little more than what he mentions BUT... they are nice. Semi quick, nice mileage, that cool roof.. and their power is under-rated.
