im not liking how sharp the nose looks on the first picture
but id take a 370 over this
so i was thinking the other day
well i just realized more like that the 370 is for the 3.7 litre v6 right?
so what would be next..? 400z?

This car caters, to a large extent, to people with broader needs than those who opt for the 370 or s2000.

I like what they did with the design, but I'd like to see smaller proportions and less weight; IMO, a pony car should be less than 3500 lbs. The listed gas mileage on the 300 HP V6 ain't bad at all. I wonder if that is a real world figure.
Anyone else notice the poor paint matching on the yellow one? I hope that is just the way the photo looked.
This car save GM right now? Not a chance.

There are a lot of things that I like about the car. The styling is amazing and polarizing. The engine options seem exciting. I would consider it if I were in the market for a large, powerful, stylish, and new RWD coupe. It will compete well in its segment, and I would much rather hop in that V6 car than into a Mustang V6. It seems like the Camaro V6's power is just about equal with the Mustang GTs Power...

40K for a Camaro? Its called inflation. In 2002 you could buy an SS with options for near 33K, seven years later adjusting for inflation, 40K with all the options is right on the same level as 2002. What did you think the price of milk and bread would stay the same forever?
This car will not save GM, however it will provide some much needed attention to a company who is supposedly going to fail at any moment. It will be something positive to focus on while there is not much else in the market comparable to this for the money.

GM and Chrysler share 13.4billion in government loans. 9.4billion for GM and 4 billion for Chrysler. Ford said just gimme a line of credit JUST INCASE. Go Ford! For now at least.
Its a far stretch from the 50billion they were asking for 4-5months ago.

I don't see how a car like this will save anyone, much less GM.
They need to make small-ish cars that are cheap and reliable with bland styling -- something that everyone will buy not because it looks good, but because of the 1st 2 points. Cheap. Reliable.
This isn't rocket science. Stop going for the niche market and work on volume. Other non-"Big 3" auto manufacturers figured it out, why can't the Americans?
