Car People.... help!

Guys im looking for a beater for the winter time, i dont wanna put a huge amount of miles on my practically new daily driver. So i wanna spend close to 3000 dollars. What it needs to have is:
rwd
manual
thats it! I cant seem to think of anything that cheap that would have those qualities and still be fairly reliable. Im gonna be doing mostly highway driving with it.

You want a winter beater but want rwd and manual???

Any old american car (although most are auto) are champs in the snow...(I had a bunch of them)
