Car opinions ( I hate these threads)
In the market for a daily driver to replace my X5, I'm on the road selling now, so the X5 is rough on gas, and feels bulky and heavy. I like the AWD and power though. 4.4i
Anyway, I'm all over the map in trying to find something as a replacement.
I love luxury, love sport, my old S8 was the perfect car, but too much of a gas guzzler, and at this point more then I care to spend on another one.
So I'm looking at these cars, if you have any experience with them, thoughts, whatever let me know.
A4 1.8t Avant 02-04
G35 03-04
Q45 02-03
Volvo S60 02-04
All these are in and around the same price range, plus I could probably list a bunch more. arrahghhh

Hmm. Well, either Infiniti is not likely to save you much, if anything, on gas. You're going from one V8 to another. Although the Q45 is a nice car that can be had very cheaply.
If you want gas savings I'd say the A4 or S60 would be your best bets. But most of the fun will be tied up in the letters G and Q.

I'd skip the Audi A4 1.8T. The new 2.0 version is so much better.
Besides, Audis are not very reliable (we have an A4 3.0 that's been in the shop way too many times.)

The M35, just can't over the styling, the new one is much better, but out of my range.
A lot of people say the A4's weren't the most reliable, infact while I owned the S8, if not for warranty, I would have been on the hook for at least 7 grand worth of stuff, just loved everything about it though, perhaps I should get over it.
I've been thinking about the TL, though I drove an Accord V6 before the Audi, and really didn't like it all, I'm thinking the TL will be just more of the same.
A year ago, I test drove the Legacy GT, and again was not all that impressed, I know Subaru make great cars, and appear to have everything I want, but there is something missing, and I don't think I'll be all that happy in the long run.
thanks for the opinions so far.
