Default Car Collectors? What's in your garage?

Hey folks,

Having recently read a book about car collectors and their "Ultimate Garages", a new bug has bit me. I've always been a car collector, albeit of the die-cast variety. I would however like to collect "real" cars despite my modest income. While my garage will never house the likes of a 300SL gullwing, or a Gallardo, I'd like a few neat/interesting/unique vehicles in my "collection"

Do we have any true collectors on the site right now? What do you have in your "collection"? Right now, my gathering is limited to:

1988 Merkur XR4TI (almost 80% restored)
2001 Honda S2000 (1800 miles from new)
2002 Toyota Tundra Limited (daily driver)

I want someday to have a fully restored Triumph GT-6 in proper BRG with Tan leather. I think those are so damned cool. I'm probably never going to own a vehicle that doesn't have a true manual gearbox, but something like the 355 or 360 spyder with the F1 gearbox would be nice. I need to make a lot of money, whichever career i choose....

i usually have something neat and older but not right now.... i just sold my 1974 porsche 914 that had a Chevy V8 in it.

We (thanks to CG) had a "SHOGUN" (Festiva with SHO Engine) for about 8 months..... after it broke it's unfindable slave cylnder I sold it to a friend of Chuck Beck's (he had extra slave cylinders for it....from a dune buggy)..

i had a 1974 vw aculpolco thing with 10k original miles on it

a 1969 conv bug...4 wheel discs, real porsch fuch wheels, 3" drop all around, etc.....

Nothing "collectible" right now...... 2003 mustang cobra.... but it does go fast.

Since I can't get my signature to light up due to not being a paying member. Here it is.

1956 356 speedster. Cream/Tan

1972 914 (95 point car) Silver/Black

S2000 duhh

Thunderranch Riot. (lotus on serious diet) 970 pounds without cage or driver. ~90hp 305 rear tires with 285's up front. Street legal.

Total wet racing weight without me is ~1100. Still in the build up stages. Should be done ~2 weeks or so depending on the cage guys scheduling and how much modivated I am to finish the wiring. (Self built)

Next project is a EJ20T powered 550 spyder replica. (Self built)

Stuff I have owned in the past.

850i Chipped/dereg'd

67 K code mustang (89 point car 400+hp) great car when you are 17.(Self built)

~10 vw beetles in varing states of disrepair/custom/restored. (Self built)

917 porche replica. Mid engine, custom framed out monster. (Self built)

69 I think FJ40. Got it running and sold it like four weeks after that.

Quite a fw others that I can't remember off the top of my head.

My cars:
2001 Honda S2000
2003 Toyota Tundra
2004 Subaru WRX STi
1983 Honda Accord

Doesn't seem like much, but considering I'm only 18, I'm well on my way to becoming a collector.
My step-dad however has numerous cars:
1968 Shelby GT350
1969 Chevy Camaro SS
70's(?) DeTomaso Pantera
70's Ford Bronco
1980's Chevy Camaro Z28(2)
1993 Mazda RX-7
Late 80's 5.0 Mustang
1979 454 Chevy Pickup
2003 Ford F-350 Powerstroke Diesel
2003 Acura RSX Type-S
1994(?) Yamaha YZF-1000
I know I'm forgetting some cars, but oh well.

Gees. I wish I could say I owned two cars at once, let alone some of the ones you've all been privileged to own.

I've owned:

1984 Buick Regal Limited
1987 Chevy Z24
1987 Nissan Maxima SE 5spd
1993 Nissan Maxima SE 5spd (current car)

I'd like to have/collect:

Late 60s Camaro Z28
Fox-body Mustang LX 5.0
Lincoln Mark VII LSC
Buick Grand National/T-type/Turbo T/GNX/Turbo Limited
1989 Trans Am GTA/Indy
Early 60s Oldsmobile Starfire
Cadillac CTS-V
Lambo Gallardo
A tricked out Mk2, 3 or 4 VW Golf GTI
Subaru STI
Skyline GT-R V-spec, any version R32-R34
Datsun 510
Datsun 240Z
Old Buick lead-sled with a straight-8 or Caddy V-16 swapped in

That's a few of 'em. I know there's some I'm forgetting, outside of the obvious ones like the Ferrari 360 or Porsche 968 GTS...
