The only reason why I'm going out of my way to do this is to get in good with my inlaws. I guess im still considered a newlywed (4 months next week), and for some reason the inlaws dont seem to warm up to me as they did before we got married. i guess it could be the fact that i've taken their daughter away and I go out of my way to avoid them Anyways, to appease the inlaws and the wife, I'm doing this.
So with that said, today we went to Mazda, Hyundai and then back to Honda and Toyota.
The Mazda 3 in the 5 door config is pretty nice, but he didnt dig the station wagon/hatchback look and the sedan looked kinda odd. We didnt even bother asking for prices or a test drive.
Down the street was Hyundai. We checked out the new Sonata and to be quite honest, the car is pretty nice and seemed to be a pretty good deal for the $. The Tiburon was a bit over the price range, but according to the dealer, he could make the numbers work in our favor. Unfortunately, he wasnt down with Hyundai and seemed worried of what his friends would think if he drove a korean car (he's korean). Anyways, he wanted to go check out the TC again.
Arrived at the Scion dealer and found out that the car we looked at yesterday sold already. They had a fully loaded demo unit (body kit, wheels, stereo, exhaust, etc) but it was way out of our price range. I guess they don't haggle here so we were pretty much assed out.
Since Honda was across the street, we walked over and checked out the Civic coupe and Accord sedan again. As we were strolling around the lot, he saw a dark gray Accord coupe and I could see that he was interested. Well, the car he saw was the EX-L 6sp navi, which was waaay out of his price range, but he did seemed interested in checking out the LX. We took one for a quick spin and he seemed to dig it. It seemed a bit more sophisticated than the TC and bit larger too.
Dinner again with the douche wasnt as bad, my inlaws and his parents came out and bought us dinner. He seemed genuinely interested in the tC, Tiburon and the Accord coupe. So on Saturday, we'll go out one last time - this time with his father - and he'll have to choose. Goddamnit, I've given up a day of golf for this freak.

Time to buy the chump a Radio Flyer in NFR and tell him to get his friends to pull him to class.

We took his dad into the Honda dealership today and after I haggled for about an hour, we got a 2005 Honda Accord LX Special Automatic for $17.5k. Invoice is about $18.5k so I'm pretty happy and so is he.
