I've had two of these over the past year. Neither one lasted a year. Both were destroyed by wind. Also, keep in mind, I live in Pittsburgh, PA...not really a high wind area.
I anchored the first one with rope and tent stakes. BIG MISTAKE...the wind bent the steel poles causing them to hit my car
I then decided to anchor the second canopy using cement footers. Since it was anchored so well, the wind tore the canopy to shreds and bent the roof supports...again causing them to hit the car
If I had to do it over, I would NEVER buy a canopy type. The steel type of carport seems much better. However, I have never used one. After my carport problems, I decided to build a garage for the new "S".
