I like the NSX's ass better than the Vette's, but I like the Vette's face better than the zombie-like front on the updated NSX.

Someone do a Photoshop mockup for me. =P

The NSX is a gorgeous car, but it needs more of a re-design than just the headlights.
See, that's what I'm wondering about. To me at least, the NSX and C6 look amazingly similar - they have different takes on the same basic shape. With the two cars together like this, they appear to be from the same era. So why is the NSX dated? If somebody never saw one before, would they really think "late 80s" like they would with an old Prelude 2.0 Si? Or is it simply that it's been around so long? If the later, I would suggest that "timeless" is a better term than "dated."

I love the new C6. I'm know the NSX is better in build quality but the only pic that it looks better than the C6 is the rear shot.

I hate the newer NSX headlights

The vette is lighter, but I went to the dealer, and poked the panels, my finger sunk in half an inch. The fiberglass they used is thin as hell. The car, although a FANTASTIC performer im sure, is a fantastic performing POS. Its just really really really really really cheap. The car is worth 25 grand tops. There isnt 40 grand of engineering and material in that car. Bring on the flames.

IMO the NSX looks better, although the C6 looks more modern and will run circles around it in terms of performance.

I don't really think the NSX is "dated"... at least not all of it. I just think that the taillights need a re-design. The body design is- as you said- timeless. It reminds me very much of a Lambo Diablo, which to me is a very current car. But, like I said, the taillights just remind me of a Subaru SVX. If they could fix those, I'd be pretty happy.

But, still... I don't think I could buy an NSX (at least not a new one). I love the S2000's high-revving engine, and I expect that the NSX engine is similar, but if I were going to pay $80K for a car, I think it would be a Porsche (or maybe two S2000s!).

Both are great, capable cars.

But neither (in my opinion) is very good looking, from a styling point of view.
