Race him for pink slips.
A Turbo will give you 75-150 hp but no chip will add 75hp to a 200 hp engine. All a chip will do is ramp up the timing and perhaps lean out the A/F mixture which would give anywere from 5 to 15 hp. Stock for stock a S2000 will beat a 2.5 (on the track, on autoX or at the dragstrip).

dude, first of all. There is no chip will give that much HP for NA engine.
S2000 is a litle bit faster than E36M3 (stock vs stock). I say race him. That will shut him up.
