CAI On A '93 Civic -- Any Gains?
I've inherited our bone-stock '93 Civic DX sedan as my daily driver/beater and am considering installing an intake. I'm looking for gains in the low-midrange, as the car will be driven primarily in stop and go traffic and will barely see the highway, much less track or autocross.
And yes, I know there are plenty of Civic boards on the net where I could ask this question, but I'm lazy.
So, would a CAI do the job and if so, what would you recommend?
Thanks!

you should get some decent power as long as you put some big APC stickers all over it.... maybe some of those rain guards and then paint your dashboard with a spray can.
i have no idea what cold air would do to stock 90hp civic, but i doubt it would do much other than make more noise....add 5hp?
edit - i just noticed it is a sedan..... skip the intake.... save yourself the $120 and just drive the thing....... maybe do a track day with your S2000 with the $.

So no CAI... I'll just find ways to amuse myself with that mighty 98 lb/ft of torque at my beck and call!

mod the crap out of it. It is gonna be a slow POS no matter what you do, but wouldn't you rather drive a 92hp slow POS than a 90hp slow POS You can make a CAI out of PVC and an aftermarket filter, saving ~$150, if you balk at spending money on such a POS.

Civic parts are cheap and you can easily get them locally and on the internet. As for gain barely any but who cares at least try to get some extra pep. Just put in intake probably about 40-60, header about 100-150, and exhaust is about 40+15 for install and call it day. Who know you might even hit the 100 mark.
