Do you realize that this car will be able to run with:
Any Ford GT
Any Ferrarri
Any Lambo
Any Porsche
Any Viper
Any production car
All for a measly $66k. Have you seen the price tags of some of the F cars? how about P cars or Lambo's? You complain about the interior but a $500k F car is worth the money. Come on, for less than $20k you could dress the interior with the finest leather, disco balls, stage lighting, custom fit seats, and all the HKS stickers you could find and you'll still come in under the price of all the cars mentioned above (except the Viper).

I'm almost speachless that people on this board, people who claim to be real car enthusiast, are blasting a car that offers so much in the terms of high performance, high technology and value.
The only cars that can truely compete with it are FGT, F430(maybe), CGT, and ENZO.
I will go with the z06 for $70k

I still hope the price is a bit less. The ZR1 was a fantastic car, capable of humbling cars twice its price, but very few sold because when you get right down to it, great performance and all, at the end of the day you are driving around in an expensive corvette.
For most folks that last statement has some negative connotations, thus in my overly simplistic world

Same with vipers. A Viper could have 1000 hp and wouldn't sell much better than they do now (IMO).

That's so not true.
Mustangs and Firebirds and Camaros were available for less money with more power. Used C5s also.
Yea we bought the most expensive 4-banger in the world b/c we wanted bang for the buck
The S2000 is not a bang-for-the buck car.

when I think of bang for the buck, I think of how big of smile it brings to my face relative to it's initial cost, not it's cost/cylinder...I really don't care much about the engine config., just how it works and sounds!
Therefore you'll here people say a neon with 225hp for $20K is great BFB.
The S2000 costs $32K. With that price tag people are talking 390hp SVT Mustang.
That's what 99.99% of people mean for when they say BFB.
BFB is not about precision shifter, 9000rpm redline or tight body panel gaps or fun to drive etc...Most people don't buy a S2000 b/c it has the most hp for the money.

I disagree.
"Bang for the buck" is used to describe "value per dollar spent" and can refer to anything from A to Z, and is not restricted to talking about automobiles.
What demographics were used to come up with your %99.99 BTW ?
The Honda S2000 is a vehicle that has a lot of "bang for the buck".

raj,
Face it, you're not living in the real world. Most all my S2000 friends think the S2000 has plenty of bang for the buck...a single-minded focus on HP is for drag racing Bubbas IMO. I include braking, handling, HP, and that subjective "fun factor" (where the S2000 pegs the meter) in my definition of bang.
BTW, please post your data backing up your statistical claim.

Ok we are going way off topic(as usual).
Bang for the Buck in automotive terms has to do with HP/$. I remember a Mustang 5.0 Vs. Z28 comparo in MT with the BFB in the title. That means SRT-4, wrx, Mustang have BFB. the S2k doesn't. The s2k is a great car, but it is low on the BGB scale.
