C5 vs C6

5 grand or more off MSRP for a Z06 is an incredible deal considering what you are getting. The thing about the sports car market is that it floats on impulse purchases and the next big phenom is on the horizon several times a year. I'd be happy to drive a few-year old Porsche, or M3, or even S2000 or WRX. A 2003 Z06 is still a great car even if you'll be getting it in 2004 or 2005.

The last three 2003 Z06s @ $7000.00 savings...
These are the last three 2003 Z06s we will get. $5000.00 disc. plus the $2000.00 rebate.

Also I have to be able to walk away if the deal isn't great. Look I already have a nice car the S2000. I'm very happy with it. So in about 3 months I'll see what's up with the Z06's.

And if you add the $750 military discount, that's almost $8K off MSRP. And add $500 college grad discount (which everyone almost always gets) that's $8,250 off MSRP. Not too bad. With 0% interest for either 3 or 5 years, that's not bad at all.
I can get that much off a Z06...... Something to think about as a 2nd car. Let me know how this thing turns out and when the next time 0% for 5 years thing kicks in.

FWIW a friend spent a week on vacation went to a rent-a-vette franchise and spent one day in the Z06, one day in the S2000 and one day in the C4S and he said that for "Fun-To-Drive" the S2000 was the best.

So they had no reason to make the Z06 as lift top or convertible.
