C&D, R&T sti vs evo
Been waiting for someone to post this up, guess i have to. cant get the link to work so someone else is gonna have to post it up
c&d evo vs sti vs r32: 1st place evo 2nd place r32 3rd place sti, calling the sti handling 'scary.'
r&t evo wins again, but they had the dual clutch and the stick, with fastest lap time posted by professional driver with tranny set to automatic super sport. i forget the exact wording, but they said the sti yaw control basically doesnt feel like its doing what it should be doing.
qouted from memory, someone find a link.

The new STI just cant get a break. I certainly would not choose an R32 over an STI.
I know the Rabbit is an econocar but the interior and some aspects are top notch and I would consider a GTi or R32.
I am wondering/waiting for the next-A4 which will be real-Audi and hopefully better (less front heavy) I mean if they had a TT-S (engine 2.0 turbo with 270hp) with DSG + rear-biased Quatro that could be a great all around car part luxury and part sport.
Right now the EVO seems to be leaning mostly towards sport and low on quality/interior luxury while the STi seems may be too softly sprung (at least in stock form). I wish the STi was hard-edge not just more power, but I suspect Subi is hearing a lot of bad reviews (from the press) saying how the car is too soft.
While the R32 may be soft as well (compared to the EVO) but at least it rewards with the luxury and refinement missing in the EVO/STI

what is funny is that there are so many articles/reviews that put the sti and evo up against each. In those reviews one will win over the other and vice versa. It's really getting hard to tell any more how these cars even perform against each other from all these. I think it might take a some test driving. I go back and forth on both cars.

now I'm thinking about the EVO.
I'd like a M3 but that's going to be $59K+ with the twin-clutch and while I like RWD I also like AWD for 100% DD.
the EVO X with twin clutch is $37K (ish) that's a clear savings of $20K
I know, I'm nuts to say that the M3 is surely nicer but $20K is $20K and that's not chopped liver.
For a prespective I could keep the S2000 and add an EVO have sun and rain cars for less than if I traded the S2000 in a M3. With several thousand to play with for mods.

im like you i think. I go back and forth on the Sti and Evo. I spend a lot of time on evolutionm.net
and iwsti.com. Im back to the Sti this week after reading more stuff on these 2 sites and others. next week i might want a Evo haha
Still i need to test drive these cars. I have seen a lot of Sti's as of late and im still liking the look for some reason. call me crazy. I have not seen but one Evo X and well if some one had not called it out i would not have noticed it sitting there.
