C&D LS600h
C&D just did a test of the LS600 and came up with fairly good numbers.
Here are the numbers:
0-60 5.4s
0-100 12.4s
1/4 mile 13.8s@106 mph
(note: C&D test Mustang Shelby GT and 350Z MT both 13.7s@104mph)
the LS460L tested in another issue did 0-60 in 6.2 sec and 1/4 mile 14.6sec
C&D says the 600h rated mileage of 20/22 (city/hwy) and the LS460 (new) rating 17/25.
However C&D observed gas milage was 20 for the 600h and 13 mpg for the 460L
Also in the same issue was the MB CL600 ($148K as tested, 5.5L TT 510hp 612-TQ@1800 rpm) you can see the Lexus has the same number even tho neither car is displacing 6L or has 600 hp. I believe the number name of the Lexus is trying to lead you to think it's a MB S600 rival.
This test is of the CL600 but you can expect similar from the S600 (actually C&D had the S600 a few tenths quicker).
0-60 4.3s
0-100 10.1s
1/4 mile 12.8s@113mph
rated mpg 13/19 (observed 12 mpg)
Of note the 50-70 acceleration times of the LS600h 3.5s and the CL600 2.5s (both are smoking).

I'll take the Lexus. If you want sportbikes, sportscars, and 100k luxery cars all at the same time, you have to take the 'logical' approach somewhere you you'll be sleeping in/on one of those vehicles soon enough.

Now those are MUCH better numbers than edmunds'. But 5.4 seconds still isnt v12 performance. More like v8 performance. That thing still dosent even match the accelearation of any of the 550 motors in the benzes. maybe the s550. i dont know.

they were saying the the 460 had about the same 0-60 and the gas mileage was only a tad bit better because of the added 800lbs of batteries in the trunk, which was also 5-6 cu.ft. smaller
