Default buying advice - civic si

So I'm selling my MS3 (which I had hoped would replace my DD & S2k) and my S to downsize for now. I'm looking at a coupla cars, especially the Civic si sedan.

I came across these:
1. '07 13k miles, 2 owners, $14k. Salvage, and according to current owner the car's interior had been stolen & replaced by the orig owner. No accidents, no issues, still under warranty.

2. '08, 28k miles, not sure how many owners, $16k. He has installed a CAI, has some other pars (headers) he states he hasn't installed. Clean title.

3. '08 24k miles, $20k, mugen version. States price is firm, and was in a rear fender bender not reported to police, just required paint. Seems defensive about it in the post. Listed on autotrader.

I assume I can check for frame/body damage to make sure of no accidents, but what would you choose? I'm usually very skittish around salvage cars, but if it's just the interior, and I'm planning to keep the car till it stops running, does it matter? How does this also affect insurance? I'm thinking #2 makes more sense, but wondering what you all think.

Who steals a Civic and just takes the interior? How could interior parts alone salvage a brand new car? If I was paying $5k for a car, salvage title wouldn't bother me as much, but for a 3 yr old car, I wouldn't even consider it.

Number 2 was definitely modded - might have dependability issues and engine strain to deal with.

Authentic Mugen version? Theft target and overpriced for what you get.

I don't think you have any winners among this lot.

I tend to agree with all three points.
#1 seems sketchy to me for exactly what you pointed out. I'm trying to find a stock si with low mileage, which isn't as easy as I thought. I'm trying to keep the price down but not at the cost of having a crappy car. The Mugen caught my eye because of the lower price, but I wonder how bad the damage actually is.

I've got time - I haven't even sold my cars yet! I'm hoping just to trade them pp, but we'll see...

I'm looking for the sedan (more useful, which was what I was hoping for outta the MS3, but it doesn't have the right...feel to me, so back to Honda).

There's a few around, trying to go pp to save $, & the newer ones are still under warranty.

'08, 13k miles, but is $20k. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/1986393678.html

Haha. I paid $21,000 for a brand new 2008 back in June 2008. CA must have crazy prices if people will actually pay $20,000 for a 3 year old civic that listed for not much more than that new.

By the way, I really like my Si Sedan. Fun little car that gets pretty good gas mileage and can carry a fair amount of stuff. We actually used it last year for football tailgating and were able to get 7 fold up chairs, 2 tents, cooler, portable gas grill, and a big plastic container with a bunch of miscellaneous stuff in it in the back seats and trunk.
