I have a 95 GSR with 160K miles and still going strong. Only problems was a $40 igniter and I think I recently got a radiator leak which I think I fixed with this clogger. Didn't take very good care of the car, but it's taken good care of me. These things are pretty bulletproof. Still on original clutch.

I think the price is kinda of high but if he takes care of the car then it might be worth it. You don't want the car bitting back at you with problems later down the road.

Sold my 94 GSR 2 months ago for $4,200. body was in excellent condition, it had a new clutch, tires and radiator. had 170K miles on it and still pulled strong, but the engine was on its last legs - consuming about 1qt every 500 miles. $5K sounds fair, given i was just trying to get rid of mine and the engine needed work. just get a compression test before you buy.

A GSR is definitely a good car to run around in. Price might be a tad bit high, but then if its in real good condition.. it'll would be worth it.

He wants $5K for it. Is that a fair price? That's higher than blue book but from what I understand this is normal for Integra GS-Rs. How long do these usually last?
Id find out the the blue book and factor in the mods, condition, and the fact that he is the original owner. And ask yourself if those factors are worth the extra cash over the blue book value. If you trust the guy and know how good he took care of the car, then that alone is worth something.

Price sounds a touch high for the mileage. Would be right at maybe 80K miles. My '95 GSR remains one of my favorite cars of all time.

Those cars are very hard to find, It is worth that. Look on autotrader.com and see what dealers and private sellers are getting for them. I get people asking to buy my 92 gsr all the time, I won't sell it, it is too much fun to drive. I would kill to have a couple on my lot. good luck

good choice. GSRs, especially the later years, are actually pretty uncommon.

an early GSR with paint in good shape is also uncommon. I see a few, but it is rarely I see one with good paint. The fact the one you are buying was garaged is worth a premium.

I had a 1999 myself, now my brother has it.

steven975 is very correct. GSR's are stolen all the time. OBD2 B18c1's are in high demand as most civic builders are moving away from the EG hatchback and moving into newer chassis like the 96+ EK chassis. It seems there are more GSR engines in civics than there are integra's. Good luck with your new ride..install a kill switch
