Default Business idea - Manual Tranny's into current supercars..?

Since GTR's, Ferrari, Lambo and some other big names are going all dual clutch...... is it possible to take a 458 Ferrari and swap trannys out for a 6 speed manual and add the clutch pedal? I remember someone in my high school doing that to a SAAB and I am sure other people have too.... how much would it cost? what tranny would work.... is there somewhere that already does this?

I cannot imagine driving a F458 with stupid paddle shifters.....

Just tosh'in it out there...

yes but it is VERY VERY expensive. You would have to charge A LOT. R&D would cost you a ton. There are a couple of people who did it for Astons. I think they use to cost like $40-50k.

Sounds about right. I bet at least that for a post 430 Ferrari.

Why not add a drum brake swap as well?

It's not a bad idea but would require a bit of work/marketing and of course successful swaps to make it right.

You would have to start with one or two completed swaps, and they would have to be tested. I think the GT-R would be a good start.

Dream car would be an LF-A with a 6/7 speed manual.
