I kind of have to agree... 2nd cousin got the lower level Astin at an auction in TX for $50k. It turns heads like crazy and people think hes balling and hes really not lol... Sounds good, looks good and the swag is top notch. obiouvsly with $120k you can look at the big boy versions and while they arent the top performers, they are extremely unique and well loved.

- Under budget, new:
Cayman S
$63,800 base.
$20,080 in options.
$84,830 including destination.
- Unknown budget, used:
Early 79's 911.
Complete frame, body and interior restoration.
Updated mechanicals including transmission, brakes, suspension, 3.6 air-cooled motor, 18" wheels with Fuchs look, etc. And stupidly loud megaphone exhausts.

Just as an aside, I got thinking about this and the well-known fact that doctors in general are known for being pretty bad at personal financial management. I hope you have a finance professional guiding you to help achieve your future financial goals and aren't just blowing all your income @ the expense of your future. You don't need to answer, it's really none of my business, but food for thought...
thanks for the info...a high school friend told me almost the exact same thing on facebook.
don't worry...i'm not financially dumb. have 2 savings accounts, my kids college funds all set up, and made sure family got a nice house and everything before I embarked on my cars.... i have been an attending for 5 years now...i didn't graduate yesterday...
and actually most docs i know are very good with their finances...they may invest in bad stocks...but at least they're trying to let their money make them more

not interested in GTR. too mechanical.. doesn't sound very good, and it's more a technical marvel than a driving machine.
more i think, may go with a new Cayman S. love the new look. and pocket the difference...

LOl exactly...doesn't matter how much you make...mismanaging your finances happen at all tax brackets!

Just optioned my Cayman S, with manual,PASM, sport exhaust, leather, etc...grand total $86k! 
and I didn't even add the yellow or red seat belts...that's $340 extra!! (Porsche sures know how to nickel and dime every little bit from us!)
