Coworker has the 460L. It is a great car for the money. Once you get inside and close the door, it's like you're in your own little private spaceship. So quiet.
I spent some time in one and thought to myself that I could take naps in there. Very fancy yet cozy & comfy!

Btw, as strange as it is, the LX570 is in great demand, as other SUVs and trucks slump. However, it's not odd to see that those particular buyers are not "affected" by high gas prices and the slow economy. Only the middle-class and poorer people are affected. The rich will still be rich no matter what.

the LS has big margins, and a lot of them have been selling at big discounts. what's surprising is how high demand is for the new Lexus LX570. even with the high gas prices, some dealers are asking 10K over sticker.
Lexus, and Toyota for that matter, are weird like that... they have positioned themselves, with their reputation for quality, really well with the 'money is no object' market. Take note that I'm not talking about the 'make your first million, go out and show it off' market, I'm talking about the type of people who could buy anything without blinking an eye, but don't care about calling attention to themselves and might not be car people.

My friend took my wife and me for a ride this evening. It's damn smooth and very comfortable, no doubt about it. I'd love one as a daily driver. I asked my wife if I could trade the IS300 in for one and she gave me a dirty look. I'd have to trade-in the C6 too and I'm not about to do that.
