BRZ Hatch Concept Debut

Apparently, this version is two inches longer and gives a bit more rear leg room. This would be ideal for me as I would still have room for my two kids and whatever stuff I need to lug around in the hatch. Looking at the photos in the article, the rear opens as a tail gate. Very interesting. I'm sure a production version would lose all that plastic off-road paneling. From the front view, it looks like it has a mustache.

Subaru Exec: Well, the BRZ is nice, but it shares so much with the FRS, design-wise. Can we make it uniquely and unmistakably a Subaru?
Subaru Designers: You mean... hit it with our ugly stick?
Subaru Exec: Exactly.

Can't make a turbo version due apparent clearance issues despite the aftermarket having no issues with this, oh but a new body style is feasible.
Here's another thought, how about getting the tune right so there is no catastrophic engine failures.
That said, I like it. Makes sense to me, toyota talking about a sedan version, this hatch will probably share some of that R&D and manuacturing.
