In reality, I don't know if I'll really mod this car. I learned having a tuned C6 that fast cars are not that much fun on daily drives. Much more fun to have a quick car and beat on it all day than a fast car and have to dive it like a grandpa all the time...
The S4 seems like an almost perfect balance for a fun sporty daily, maybe even a bit too fast as it is.
We'll see though, with monster power an easy tune and pulley away it's sometimes hard not to be tempted.

I'm tentatively looking at a used 2010+ S4 as a DD. I think I can find a clean 6spd with ~50k miles for $25k. Not bad considering they are $50k+ new with any options at all. I can take it up to NM and CO skiing which doesn't seem like much but I go 3 times a year and am always struggling to find an AWD car to take. I won't buy it if it understeers outside of at the limits which is acceptable and irrelevent. Gas mileage on the highway is quite good.

A german car with over 50k miles is a risk. You might be getting something that major things start breaking on and that $25k can turn into $35k fast.
