I raced Cmra solo the past couple years. I didn't renew my license this year because the costs are just higher each year and since buying an ECR membership I have more fun just doing laps without the pressure. so what I would spend on a single CMRA weekend I can pay for 5 mo of member dues lol

Taking it to the track next month for a lapping day to see how great PDK is at the track
My friend bought a 997.2 Carrera S with PDK a few years ago, it also didn't come with the Sport Chronos package. He got it installed last summer and wow, it was a night and day difference. Sport mode in a 997.2 is a must have; Sport Plus on the other hand is just too much for the street.

Good choice on the duck tail, if I had a 997, that's the route I would go as well!

Same. I quit doing endurance rounds a long long time ago. My friends in solo have bounced too so we don’t even attend the rounds anymore. Honestly I just got sick of the tracks in the region. I’ll still drive/tow or fly to do a Trackday elsewhere in the country but I honestly have more fun tearing up twisties here. At least until they are ruined by people moving out to the country and setting up shop. Cali people moving here pushing TX people to move out there and ruin the roads. It’s time to move out of state

I bought a membership at ECR last year so I'm not even interested in riding anywhere else since I'm paying a single monthly fee for any member days I attend. I'm likely going to try and get down there with my 911 one day this month after my ducktail gets painted.

I kind of went the other way, got the Porsche first and then picked up an S2000 since the price of Pcars have gone up so much I want something a little less hardcore and easier to drive

mistakes were made and I replaced the 997.2 with a 981 GT4. Pics coming as soon as it lands from the shipper.

I'll report back on my S2000 vs 997.2 C2 vs 981 GT4. I'm pretty excited to own the German Honda and I'll be sad to see my S2000 get sold but I still have both for now until someone shows up with some money to buy my S2000. I don't HAVE to sell the S2000 but the $26k would make me feel better about my anxiety of spending $100k on a car lol. First trackday is coming up at the end of the Month at my home track Eagles Canyon. Im happy to have found a rhodium silver car that checks all the boxes because its got a blue tint in the silver and as much hate as Suzuka gets I think its the best looking color in the sun.

Picked a 15k mile Rhodium Silver 981 GT4 w/ a spotless DME and Carfax.
18 way seats
full leather interior
navi (no roof antenna and easier to install CarPlay)
