For that price it better have the 500 hp V10. A 400 hp V8 would be a serious step back. The original Z8 had the original M5 400 hp motor. At a minimum, it needs the current M5's engine (500 hp V10) in there if they are going to sell it for that price range.
"Engine options include a 3.0 liter twin turbo inline-6 gasoline making 306hp, a 4.4 liter V8 turbo with 408hp, BMW

[QUOTE=VTEC_Junkie,Jul 29 2006, 02:17 AM] i think they plan on making the next z8 a higher volume vehicle, unlike the original z8, with different engine options and pricing.

<- BMW purist
This is blasphemous.
The original Z8 was an instant collector's item, with much of it's design cues from the classic BMW 507
It was limited production (only 400 to the US per year). They better not make that thing. How f'in CHEAP of them.

I loved the orig. Z8, and this one looks even better IMO (finally, a Bangle-era design that looks great @ first glance!). Too bad I'm not rich, otherwise I'd be putting a deposit on one ASAP!
