I could'nt copy a page link so I figured this would serve just as well. It's pretty much everything we've already seen and read.

I just don't understand the designer, wtf was he thinking? It's so.... hideous, Jesus H. Christ, I mean the 8series were so awesome, then this "modern interpretation" crap. I don't usually bash cars but this is just horrid.

This is sad. I truly believe BMW has lost its way. First the bloated, chubby 7 series, now this disjointed, contrived Z4. Makes me worry for the next 5 and 3 series, especially the hallowed M3. I think BMW is trying far too hard pull a new styling theme out of its proverbial hat just for the sake of being new. BMW has always been known for clean, timeless designs with fantastic proportions. Now, because of some perceived need to radically change its styling, BMW has lost its way.
Take the Z4...it has the basic roadster proportions and a beautiful line that runs from along the tops of the front fenders, down the sides, and up over the tops of the rear fenders, but this is about all that can be said positively of this new design. The "flame" detailing along the sides looks terrible. It makes the car look mangled and extremely busy. The trapezoidal headlights look droopy, not aggressive, and they are not very appropriate for a BMW. The squared off roll hoops look like something off a Transformer toy. The rear deck looks like it should be wearing a Lincoln badge. Is it supposed to suggest a Continental kit??? All in all, very disappointing, particularly in light of the fact that I suspect BMW has finally made the Z4 into the competent sports car that the Z3 should have been.
Then again, this is just my opinion.
