If the cost was less than a grand, I think I would do it. For the $2k that it will probably cost to get a decent job done.. not worth it.

They actually developed that at 3M Japan to use in construction applications. Instead of using real granite or marble or whatever, they use this stuff w/ a pattern on it that looks like the real thing. It is incredibly convincing. It comes hundeds of wood, stone, and other patterns.
I'm actually surprised you don't see Xzibit doing more of this kind of stuff... you could get pretty unusual.
Keep an eye out for your "wood" in your car being the realio dealio... cuz I'm pretty sure if they haven't already, they'll start using this stuff. Apparently it "looks more like wood than real wood" (because of the finish required to protect the real stuff)

This is some of the work of a local company in dallas. They had a show room down in one of the popular drinking areas for a little while a few years back and had the Prowler in it. It was realy nice work and they could create any design on it.
