This isn't new by any means, but I just realized the first M6's will be hitting showrooms and the streets inside of two months. I am not a fan of the 6 series styling by any means, but for some reason the changes to the M make it appealing to me. The carbon fiber roof panel is a fantastic design feature to implement into a production car. I can't wait to see the performance tests for this car. It seems to have better poise and reflexes than that of its 4-door brother, the M5. It will most certainly have better performance than the SL55 or AM DB9; those seem more like touring cars than "sports coupes."

Anybody's thoughts on this car?

For some reason I'd take an SL55 or DB9 (in terms of coupes) over the M6. I guess the styling doesn't really do it for me.

That thing is a beast -- and a 911 turbo killer for less money.

I will have to drive one and hope that they depreciate quickly

I saw one on the road 3 weeks ago (L.A.). It had the black tape disguise all over it. I don't know why they even bothered...they had one on display at the L.A. Autoshow.

I always have to sigh when I see the new M6. It's just no E24 M6. 500hp or not, this one does nothing for me.

DB9 is just too beautiful. m6 has the power. not a big fan of sl's

why the F would u want a button to turn off the horsepower? other than that ugly feature, it could be fun to drive a v10 8Krpm screamer which pretty good looks.

anyone know any stock 1/4 mile times and trap speed yet? i want to know how 8krpm v10 500hp compares to a 7 liter OVC V8 with 500hp.
