Is anyone else underwhelmed by this? It seems like a slightly warmer M235i and sounds like it will be priced accordingly. And that front bumper looks like something from Subaru...

Yeah that's probably realistic. So roughly 150 lbs lighter than the M3. Or the difference between having a passenger or not. Meh.

This seems insulting to catfish.

Everyone's crying it's not "true ///M car". No ///M mirrors, no ///M seats, no carbon fiber roof, blah blah blah.

I'm happy with our RWD 435i and I think a 2'er would be too small for us even though were not big people.

Official weights have been released:

manual transmission - 3450 lb
DCT transmission - 3505 lb

So yeah, about 100 lbs less than M3 sedan.

Yeah, and 55 less horsepower too. For a $10-15k price difference or whatever it ends up being, I'd be going M3/M4 and not looking back. I like the looks of the M3. Doesn't matter, I'm not buying a BMW anytime soon.

Nor I. BTW found the weights for the M4:

manual M4 - 3530 lb
DCT M4 - 3585 lb

So 23-135 lb difference. Less than the difference between driving solo and having a passenger.
