I really DISLIKE the 2-Series in "base" form - something about the fenders makes the wheels look small and the car appears slabsided. However, the M2 looks fantastic to me! I think the power and torque are at really good levels for street driving and it should be lighter than the more powerful M3/M4, which is always nice as well.

I think it'll be a great car.

Sure looks to be a cool car. One of the most interesting M cars to me in a while. If it's really only 50K, should sell like crazy.

I assume it'll be around the same weigh as current 2 series.

Not sure how accurate this site is, they claim around 3200lbs. http://www.digitaltrends.com/cars/20...pictures-news/

I'm skeptical of that weight figure. Wasn't the 1M like 3,400 lbs or something?

On the Miata forums, someone is saying 3,450, but they have no source.

idk where you guys got that weight figure. 1M was 3300, the M2 is suppose to be about 3400 lbs.

I'll be the first one to say it then: It's ugly. That front end is just atrocious.
