Doing ED on my last car is what has me thinking ONLY European models for the next daily unless the Tesla 3 is super awesome. Caddy's ATS could be the best thing ever, and I would still go with another Bimmer, Audi or Merc just because the Euro delivery is so much fun.

Getting the star treatment at BMW's delivery center makes for a fun day. I can't wait to do it again some day.

Glad to hear you had a good time. It is pretty exciting sitting in the lounge when you see your car first hit the turntable.

Sweet! Thanks for sharing. I did a very similar trip with my best friend a couple of years ago, minus Spa and picking up a sweet new M3. Memorable and bucket list for sure.

No driving impressions vs. E90 M3? I know you can't get on it fully yet, but at least you've driven it on track and at high speeds.

New M3 makes a ton more torque down low, over 100 more ft/lbs at 3000 RPM. It revs lower, doesn't sound as good but it's so easy to drive on the street with the new power band. Steering, braking, suspension feel about the same to me. Big changes are slightly more updated interior, a lot more torque, worse sounding engine. The carbon roof is a first on a M3 sedan which is cool as well. Both our 2010 and 2016 are Alpine white with red interior so aesthetics are about the same. The 2016 car looks a bit more modern and updated.

I tested my friends 2015 M3 and new car is quite a bit faster around my local track compared to the E90 M3. A stock F80 M3 can almost hang with a track prepped E9x M3 with suspension, aero, brakes, big wheels/tires.

Thank you for the detailed write-up, read every word and felt like I was there. The videos were amazing.

I was so close to pulling the trigger on a 6mt F80 m3 with ED but decided to keep my C6 for now. Might have to change my mind again after reading this, but I'd like to plan my ED for when it's less gloomy over there, especially in the coming months with snow and such lol

I wasn't surprised that TX steak was better
