For MOST People the 645 would be a better choice. V8, prestige, dealer service etc etc.

But for me, and most s2ki guys- i would think the choice is obvious- 911.

ive driven both. Test drove the 645i and we have a 2001 996 C4. Not all that impressed with either. S2000 is more fun to drive than both

My buddy has a 645 on order, when he gets the kit and the wheels on...

Stock for stock I'd take the Carrera though.
