BMW 330i
I recently bought a 2001 BMW 330i to use as a daily driver just to ease some of the daily wear and tear I was subjecting my S2000 to. While the BMW is certainly a very nice sedan, it's amazing how dis-connected from the road I feel coming from my S2000. Coming from a family mini-van I'm certain this BMW would feel like a race car but in my case it's a bit mundane. I guess us S2000 drivers are just a very spoiled lot.

I was looking forward to that bmw feel everyone goes on about but was disappointed.
Actually, I really like the way my Wife's Imola Red 330i (ZHP package) feels on the road; the car is well balanced and fun to drive.
We know the 330i is not perfect; however, we have absolutely no regrets for getting the car.

Disappointment is what I feel whenever going from the S2K into any General Motors rental car.
When did S2k owners become elitist?

Funny, I'd think that would be something Corvette owners would say.

nah, I don't think he's being elitist. I got married last summer, and my wife has a '05 330i. I too was really surprised that it feels...muted. Step on the throttle and it takes off - but it doesn't feel like it. Take a hard corner and does fine, but not a lot of feedback. I think it's because it's so well insulated from outside noise, you don't hear the engine roar, tires squeal as much, etc. It's still a great car, and I like it as a cruiser, and it's a really good comfortable car. But I think it's not the 'connected' car it's made out to be.

i know E46 is different than e36, but i like the way my M3 steers 100x's better than my s2k did. the suspenion may not communicate as much as the s2k does, but the steering is so much better than the s2k's.
